If 'n' is a positive integer then what is the possible value of the mode 7n-56.

Options are:
(1)7
(2)9
(3)21
(4)16
(5)13

Plz find me the solution for it..
I m stuck with tweo answer choices i.e (1) and (3)...Which should i choose between these two??

I would do the prob this way.
7n-56= 7(n-8)

As per the definition, 'n' is possitive integer.
So 7n-56 has to be a value, which must be multiple of 7.

9, 16, 16 can not be the values of 7(n-8) if 'n' is a possitive integer.

However, If 'n' is fraction, any value can be possible

First , Not a Data Sufficiency question

Second, both 7 And 21 are possible values.

think u got the question wrong!
If OA is A, IMO B
If OA is B, IMO C
If OA is C, IMO D
If OA is D, IMO E
If OA is E, IMO A

FML!! :/

The question is taken from the official GMAT paper 2011.

So there r very few chances of the question being wrong!!!!

Any further help would be appreciated!!!!

Can you tell me more about this GMAT paper? I'm confused by the word "mode" here. It would make more sense for the question to read: If n is a positive integer, then what is the possible value of 7n-56.

From here, we can see that since 7n-56 = 7(n-8), the correct answer must be a multiple of 7. So, the answer could be either A or C

A) If n=9, then 7n-56 = 7
C) If n=11, then 7n-56 = 21

Given the 2 correct answers, it would be hard for this to be an official question.

Other tip-offs that this is not an official question:
- Answer choices listed as 1,2,3... (and not A,B,C..)
- Answer choices not listed in ascending order
