If x, y and z are integers, is x + y + 2z even?

1) x + z is even

2) y + z is even

the question can be rephrased is x + y even?
st(1) x + z is even -Not Sufficient, as y is unknown and y could be odd or even
st(2) y + z is even -Not Sufficient, as x is unknown and x could be odd or even
combined st(1&2) x+y+2z is even Sufficient
