let the box thing represented by '
so m' = 3m when m is odd
m' = 1/2 m when m is even
9' = 3x9 =27, 6'=1/2x6 =3 so 9'x6' = 27x3 = 81
chk for options
81' = 81x3 No
54' = 54/2 = 27 No
36' = 36/2 = 18 No
27' = 27x3 = 81 yes ---- Ans D
18' = 18/2 = 9 No

hey you didn't start the post so I'm free to comment, as per my stance... since you know all the answers i don't know why you just don't take the exam today and get it over with.

Thanks in advance.[/img]
Hey pierce22884,
Though papgust has pointed out the earlier thread but i guess some ppl didn't see the trap in the question,so I will lay emphasis again. This is a very important ques. where you need to pay attention to details.If you see clearly,the answer choices are in the box form not the normal answer choices.The answer is 81 but in the box form it will be "box-27" since for odd no.s the no. becomes 3 x no. in the box
= 3 x 27 =81 .Hence ,the answer will be 27.:)
Nice trap,eh? :P
It takes time and effort to explain, so if my comment helped you please press Thanks button :)
