Thank you for your response, but am still in dark regarding my GPA. I read the article you mentioned, but it did not answer my question. I know medical graduates from India rarely do apply for MBA in the top B schools and even rarely do graduate from one. So my condition is kinda unique. I want to know whether I hold any chance for the top tier B schools before starting the preparations for GMAT et al. I talked with the admissions committee of a middle tier US B school(rank 35-40) B school and it says they will take me in regardless of my GMAT score, but I know my future prospects won't be much bright there.

So here is my brief CV, honestly tell me whether I hold any chance for the top tier B schools for a Healthcare Management MBA.

10th grade 91%, President's Award for 1 subject
12th grade 89%, President's Award for 1 subject
MBBS 60-67%, no GPA, top 10th class percentile
Work Experience- 3+ years
Interested in health care administration, although no work experience in that field yet.

MBA target- Fall 2016.

Your 10th and 12th grade percentiles will not be evaluated by MBA admissions committees. Admissions committees will have previously evaluated Medical College applicants in your circumstances and so have a way to measure the quality of the Medical College, the difficulty of your M.B.B.S. degree and class rank as they would for any other applicant in a different field. If the MBA admissions committee has not had many M.B.B.S previous applicants, they might weigh your GMAT more. You not having previous experience in healthcare might make your application less competitive.

The answer to your chances depends on a mix of how high your GMAT is and what you consider top tier along with the quality of your application.
