Last Sunday a certain store sold copies of Newspaper A for $1.00 each and copies of Newspaper B for $1.25 each, and the store sold no other newspapers that day. If r percent of the store's revenues from newspaper sales was from Newspaper A and if p percent of the newspapers that the store sold were copies of newspaper A, which of the following expresses r in terms of p?

1) 100p / (125 - p)
2) 150p / (250 - p)
3) 300p / (375 - p)
4) 400p / (500 - p)
5) 500p / (625 - p)

Total revenue- 1x na+1.25Xnb, where na is no. of A and nb is no. of B newspaper.

Revenue of A is r% = na/( na+1.25nb)*100 --- (1)

No. of A sold are P%= na (because price of A is $1)

%age of B = 100-p

Now substituting the values in equ (1):

r%= p/p+1.25(100-p)*100

Solving this equation gives us= 400 p / (500-p)
