New to GMAT... Need Advice

by mrik » Tue May 12, 2009 8:13 pm
Hi am totally new to GMAT. Gave GMAT prep for the first time and got 600 only. I recently bought the OG 12th edition and planning to get Manhattan GMAT online tests. Can anyone suggest me which all tests to get from Man GMAT.

mrik,

If you are talking about the Manhattan GMAT CAT test, then they offer a 6 test package that you can buy for, i believe, $29.99. BTW if you feel that you need to improve your Sentence correction skills then i'd recommend the Manhattan GMAT sentence correction guide. Its The Best book for sentence correction and if you buy this book (app $19.00) you can access all of their 6 CAT tests for free!!!

I should also tell you that a 600 on your first test with no prior knowledge about GMAT is a great score. With a little preparation and hardwork you can score really high!!

Good luck

You might want to spend some time reading some of the debriefs from high scorers in the "I just beat the GMAT" section.

By reading the strategies of other test takers you should be able to formulate a study and test strategy that will work for you.

Good Luck.

What areas do you feel are your strengths and weaknesses? What areas do you need to practice and study more?
