Recently, I have also started the journey of GMAT. And I am going to take the test in 3 months. Can anyone please help me out with finding the essential set of books and the strategy to follow them for 700+ score.
Any other suggestions and guidance are highly appreciated.

There seem to be varying opinions regarding the use of test prep companies such as Manhattan GMAT, Kaplan, Princeton Review, etc...

However, the book that most everyone agrees is essential to GMAT prep is the Official Guide (OG). The latest revision is 12 (OG 12) - over 800 actual test questions. I'm almost done with this book and will scrutinize all the answers and concepts in the two weeks prior to my test.

To that list, I'd also like to add my personal favorite, the PowerScore CR Bible, with a focus on the CR (critical reasoning) section of the GMAT.

You'll also find more resources at the... Resources header! Various strategies are presented in the "I just Beat The GMAT!" section of the forum, where members usually post their experiences after (successfully, I hope) taking the test.

Ok, so I just took my first practice GMAT just to kinda get a baseline idea of where I stand. I used a program called Powerprep...dunno if anybody is familiar with it. I took the Quant portion in like 20 or 30 minutes, just doing the problems in my head, and got a 47 percentile. On the verbal I actually took my time with it and had about 15 min to spare, and I got a 67 percentile. My score at the end of it was a 570. Pretty much where I thought I'd be, though I think my quant would be slightly better if I had used a pencil and paper to jot some problems down. It's apparent to me that my quant is what I need to boost up, which is good because I'm better at math anyways. Bottom line, do you think it's feasible to raise my score from the level I'm currently operating at, to near a 650? I'm realistic, and I think 650 is my ultimate goal. Any advice from here on out would be great, I'm gonna take this thing in 6 weeks or so. Thanks.

It's definitely feasible to raise your score 80 points in 6 weeks! Some have done it in even less time. You'll find tons of useful strategies around this forum. In the end, it all comes down to selecting the one that best fits your learning patterns.
