have trouble with this sentence:

isn't the word "which" problematic because it could refer to either nano paper or fibers? Sorry if I don't have the complete sentence. I just jotted it down from the Manhattan gmat sentence correction book.

which refers to the word immediately preceding it, thus which must refer to "material strength".

However, depending upon how the sentence goes after "which", we may be able to clarify whether there is any ambiguity or not.

It would be better to have the complete sentence instead of etc etc, because we may have a modifier which may modify fibers or nano-papers.
