Need your suggestions on GMAT

by rubygogri » Wed Oct 26, 2011 11:21 pm
Hi All,
I am planning to take GMAT in December end 2011 and have just started studying.
I am planning to take admit for Fall 2012.
Is it feasible? Are there good colleges to apply aorund jan-feb 2012?
Also I am not very keen on paying very high fees - may be around 20L.
Are any scholarships available?
I am sure I would score more that 550.
Please help me out on this.
I need your inputs.

That's a lot of questions and very little knowns. From what you have written I would be guessing you should apply next year, because you don't seem to know what grade you might get, which will make choosing the schools VERY difficult. Rather than a last minute rush, it might be better to give yourself the best chances.

Hi,
Thanks a tonne for your reply.
Am trying my best to study and would surely give it by Dec end.
Later I can get all the documents done by Jan.
Is it possible to do so?
One of my friend has applied to San Jose university, California in March last year.
So I can send admits to similar colleges.
Next year unfortunately I cannot apply due to some personal problems. :(
Please help on this.

Well if you want more specific advice, we'd be happy. Why not tell us a bit more about your work experience: where you work, what you are in charge of, whether you lead people. What are your academics like? What about volunteerwork? Extra curriculars??

And post a short list of schools you are considering.
then we'll be able to get in there and help you out a bit.

Hi Ruby,

Given the limited amount of information what we can say is you should make list of colleges you want to aim for. Then if you think your profile is good enough for them in terms of academics, beyond academics and work experience- go for it. If not either go lower down the ranking or improve your profile :)
