Hello,
I just recalled that I did not delete some 4-5 short pointers (in point form: notes that I jotted down earlier) at the very bottom of my essay after the final paragraph. I did not clear them because I didn't scroll all the way down the screen :( :(
I wish to know will that negatively affect my AWA score? How would the electronic grader interpret those minor scribbles? I am quite worried and appreciate your clarification.

I have a feeling that the electronic grader will not interpret your notes kindly, and it will award you a lower score than you deserve. After all, how does it know that these words are your notes?

Fortunately, the human grader should be able to see that these notes are not part of the essay, and I expect that he/she will ignore them. As such, your score from the human reader should be higher than the electronic reader.

If the 2 scores differ by more than 1 point, a second human reader is brought in to score the essay and determine an appropriate score. So, I have a good feeling that your mistake may not harm your score.

Cheers,
Brent

Thanks Brent - comforting to know your views :). Earlier, I wrote to gmac to enquire about this and I am still waiting for their reply.
Lesson learnt - proof read, check and re-check till the VERY end.
