GMAT Score:780

Just a comment on something from upthread - a user noted an MGMAT test score as compared with a GMATPrep score. The MGMAT score was higher and the user asked if MGMAT tests are easier.

The user also, however, noted that s/he took the MGMAT test untimed. If you take a test under non-testing conditions, the results are not comparable to either the real test or any other test taken under testing conditions. If you take a test untimed (particularly a test for which, under normal conditions, timing is a HUGE factor) you should expect to do better. The result of an untimed test is not really indicative of anything.
Please note: I do not use the Private Messaging system! I will not see any PMs that you send to me!!

Hi. I've been blogging my progress as well as my lessons learned and thoughts on various topics related to the GMAT on my blog post on this forum. You can check it out and see how I've been studying and what I've been doing to counteract my weaknesses in certain areas. I also have a lot of notes on Verbal questions.

Stacey,
do you think i may have a chance now to be admitted to an part time MBA program in NYC area? like Fordham, baruch, Stern.

Thanks.

I have 4+ years of experience in investment management, 3.2 Undegrad GPA from PACE, solid essays and good recomendation letters?

I'm an accounting major and what matters most to me is passing the CPA exam and making partner at Deloitte Touche. This test is making furious. I work hard academically and put alot of hours studying accounting. I have a 3.59 GPA. But this GMAT test is bringing me down. I'm going to keep practicing till I least get in the 600s. I don't care if I lose sleep. I'm going to kill this test. this test is pissing me off.

Pleas help. ANY advice on this test is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Congrats on the score jump
You give me hope as I am starting off with a low diag score and its discouraging when I see so many people starting off with prep scores in the 600's.
Do you have any usefull advice?
How long did you study?
I am also applying to fordham and baruch

Well i had a long battle wiht the GMAt overall... and even now not sure if it is over. 600 is not very high, but this time i did not study like nuts and spent most of the time just understanding the concepts and practicing tests (this is only because i covered all the books:all MGMAT books, all KAPLAN 800 for 2006 and 2007, Princeton review verbal and Mth workouts and official guide books). So this time i was easy on myself with volume but spent time in understanding and catchng the concept,.. and think overall i was just lucky that day :). You will be to. Trust me i have taken it too many times to be stressed out :).
I found most useful MGMAT online tests, good breakdown of weakness areas. Good luck.

I got accepted to Baruch wiht my low score belive it or not 480 to the Flex Time program though. So...
