A 3 person committee must be selected from 7 people a b c d e f g , if a and b can be in same committee then how many committees are possible?
There could be different ways to solves this but but i am wondering with the restriction rule.
Ans = ignore restriction - break restriction.= 7C3 (ignoring restriction )- 5 (break restriction.)= ans which is correct.
Howveevr if i think the ignore restriction part then why not solve that part as 7 X 6 X 5 ?? by simply chossing the 3 places among the 7 people?? why it is wrong?? what did i miss?
