Need help to improve SC accuracy

I gave my second GMAT Prep test today. The score in this test was also similar (760 - Q50, V42). The score in GMAT prep 1 was (740 - Q48, V42). Both tests have been about 2-3 weeks apart and in both tests my main weakness is SC.

Test 1 (5 errors - 4 in SC) and Test 2 (7 errors - 6 in SC)

I have spent a lot of time reading thru OG and Manhattan SC. I need to show bit more consistency in SC since I have a feeling I am going screw up some of the CR and RC in main exam. What last ditch resources could I use to improve my performance in SC? I can't nail the problem I am facing with SC questions. :( Most of the errors are sentence structures or idiom errors..

Any suggestions

Logitech, I know I am shameless but I have no idea why I am getting all questions right. Hence if the day is not going great for me I will most probably screw up RC and CR because they are based on judgments. However on the other hand SC has clear rules which I can't seem to decipher.

Sarcasm is appreciated but some help will be appreciated even more

I think it is very important to classify the questions you got wrong. It seems like time management is not an issue for you and you have enough time to evaluate each SC questions. Also V40+ means that you are getting HARDER and HARDER SC questions.

If I were you, I would group all the questions I got wrong and try to find out where things go wrong.

1) Method
2) One topic ( e.g. pronouns, SV agreement , and etc..)

Once you know what area you need to improve:

1) Read a grammar book on that topic or find something online such as:

https://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/

2) Read Manhattan SC guide

3) Search your questions on the forum and see how other people approach the questions.


NOW, it is your turn to share HOW to ace CR and RC.

Thanks Logitech - I will try to classify the questions and identify my problem areas.

And about the 2-way street suggestion, I do think this forum has been very useful for me and I will start contributing a bit more especially about strategies as soon as my GMAT is over. Its not too far away now.
