I did performed not upto the mark on the D-day, got 680.
I am trying to decide whether to reappear for the eaxam or not. I ahve 7 years of IT experience.
Have done engineering from India. Have degree of 78% and an average of 75%. I have 80% marks in 10th and 12th as well.

I am trying to get admission in top 20-30 colleges in US or executive MBA courses in IIM's.
All suggestions, comments, remarks are welcome.

Hi Choubey,

Some points here:

1) When you say you didn't perform well on the test, I assume you did far better in practice? If so how did you practice and which tests did you take? What were your scores in those? Did you take it with AWA? What was the difference on the test day? Without this it is impossible to say anything. The question here is - will you improve your score if you take it again?

2) Second question - is it worth taking it again if you are applying to the 20-30 ranked schools in the US? With your experience, the GMAT should be okay. Definitely better than the average of the incoming class in most of the places.

3) Indian "executive" MBAs aka 1year programs are different though. You can apply to most places but getting into IIM - A/B/C and ISB would be tough. Apart from that you can try GLIM, XLRI GMP, and IIM I/L PGPX. Here is a list: https://www.crackverbal.com/list-of-indi ... at-scores/

Thanks for the information, i apprecaite your help on this.

In my practice MGMAT practice tests I was scoring from 710 to 740. I was giving all these tests in the appropriate exam environment and was also writing the AWA. I started with 710 and in my last test I got 740.
