Hello All,

I just gave my GMAT today.. and as per my Unofficial Sorecard, I scored 680 (49,33). I have few questions in mind and would request you all to help me out here....

Some Background: I have and IT background with total 4 yrs and 3 months of exp (will complete 5 yrs by the time i get an admit). I have a good Reco and decent acads .... I am planning to go for a 12-18 month MBA program preferably from UK, Singapore or India. I am yet to give my language test.

1. Between TOFEL and IELTS, which one should I opt for ?
2. Which colleges should I apply to in UK and Singapore ? (I have already sent my scores to Oxford, Lancaster, Manchester, Cranfield & Warwick). Should I consider NSU and Nanyang?
3. Is there any chance of getting Scholarships, as budget is a constraint for UK Univ. ...

Waiting for your quick response.

Thanks In Advance,
Abhinav

Dear Abhi,

Congratulations on your GMAT score! I think you should take the TOEFL as it seems to be accepted by most schools whereas the IELTS is not. Perhaps all of the schools you are considering accept both? If so, I will let others reading post their thoughts on the two tests. As for which programs, you need to pick schools that are a good match for your career goals and are a cultural fit for you. For some tips on how to identify programs that are the right match for you, please visit our sticky on school selection. In terms of scholarships, that will vary greatly by school and how you are viewed by that school as a candidate. The more you are seen as above average and a valuable addition to the class, the more you will be considered for any potential scholarship awards.

Good luck,
Lisa
