Need help getting started

Hi

I am new to this forum. I have just started to look into the GMAT and need a push in the right direction.

I have some confusion about the material I should get for GMAT prep. I don't have the latest editions. I have the following material

- Official Guide 12
- Manhattan GMAT Number Properties 4th edition - Guide 1
- Manhattan GMAT Geometry 4th edition - Guide 5
- Manhattan GMAT Fraction Decimals Percents 4th edition - Guide 2
- Manhattan GMAT Equation Inequalities VICs 4th edition - Guide 3
- Manhattan GMAT Reading Comprehension 4th edition - Guide 7
- Manhattan GMAT Critical Reasoning 4th edition - Guide 6
- Manhattan GMAT Sentence Correction 4th edition - Guide 8

Will this material be enough if i just purchase the material relating to IR only, or should I purchase the latest editions?

Also I am not sure which study plan I should follow, I am not working but have a 2 year old daughter and she only goes to daycare twice a week.

I am hoping to give the GMAT by April/May 2013

You have a lot of material to go through, that should be a good start - I would suggest the GMAT verbal and quant review from GMAC. Look at the study guides on this site.

Are you suggesting the GMAT verbal and quant review from GMAC in additional to the Manhattan or instead of it?

I agree with Jim that the Verbal and Quantitative Reviews are great sources of the official questions. I would suggest that you go through them in addition to the materials that you have planned to use.

Do not worry on procuring more material. Just get started with what you have. I have seen students studying lots of material and getting confused.. You have good material.
Take some full tests after 2-3 weeks and check your score.

If your score gradually improves, you are on the right track..if not update your material.
