Need help choosing study material to learn basics of Quant

I have recently started studying for the GMAT .Currently Im reading OG13 guide.
Can someone suggest me some good study material to learn the basics of the Quant and master the
techniques required to solve problems in less time.
I want to study Quant using single book as it will save my time.

What you're asking for can't really be found in just one book. The OG13 is a great book of practice questions, but it's not designed to teach you lots of tactics, much less show you how to master those tactics. Certain books can show you tactics, but won't necessarily make you practice those tactics. Most books will show you just one approach to answering a question, when the truth is that there are usually several different ways to get to the correct answer. This is all meant to encourage you to invest in more than just one book.

I agree that you want to use a couple of books. The Official Guide is a must for practice problems. I have used my GMAT Quant guide (you can find it at GMATprepster.com) for educating thousands of people. There are a bunch of free excerpts on the site if you want to take a peak.

I like Kaplan. They seem to have the inside track at knowing all the little tricks that make the points add up. If I can get the algebra down for the quant section I would be thrilled!

This may be too late for you, Ckapoor0402, but the 'Total GMAT Math' book by Jeff Sackmann is the most comprehensive quant book that I have seen (and used). It goes in to extreme detail on each and every topic; felt like high school all over again.

I'm currently studying finance and I'm trying to learn the basics of Quantitative Finance. I am currently using a textbook that is very confusing and hard to understand. The topics are not well explained, so I want to know some other study material that will help me learn the basics of Quantitative Finance more clearly.
