I am final year bachelor of engg.(IT) student from India. I want to do my MBA from top10 B-schools. So i am more concerned about the work exp.
After 6 months i will be graduate and still in confusion which type of work exp. are more relevant to be a strong candidate.

If i want to do my MBA in finance then work related to finance and some certification like CFA.
OR another option is to do the work in which your leadership quality comes in picture but not related to finance.

I have one more choice that I know spanish and also have D.E.L.E. (Diploma in spanish as a foreign language) certification .
So work in embassy of a latin american country in india as a spanish translator in INDIA.

Please help me......

Dear simran001,

There is no preferred industry or function in MBA admissions. What is important is that you gain quality professional work experience between graduation and the time you apply. You need to build a solid resume with accomplishments and contributions, gaining a depth/breadth of knowledge on your field and industry. Additionally, you want to seek opportunities to lead, work on teams, and increase your scope of responsibility over your tenure. In evaluating your options, think about which path will help you not only build your resume in this way, but also relates to your future career goals. If you already know where you want to be in your career post-MBA, then pick the opportunity that will give you relevant experience for your post-MBA goal.

Good luck,
Lisa
