Need a Score between 700 and 730

Hi All,
I am new to this forum and am beginning to prepare for GMAT. I am hoping to get through ISB Hyderabad. What is a good score that one must get in order to get into ISB. What are the books that I need to refer in order to get a score between 700 and 730. Is there a need to take any tuitions or is it sufficient if I prepare on my own. Also want to know will 3 months be enough time for GMAT considering 4 hours preparation each day.

Hi,

I think 3 months is plenty of time, if you do have 4hrs a day. Before you start though, come up with a precise study plan (agenda) for the next 2 months or so. This should include lessons, practice, review, test, and review in that order.

If you have a good plan and are disciplined, you have a good shot of optimizing your score. To see a detailed brief of good study plans, have a look at the "I Just Beat The GMAT" section of the site. I also think that 3 months are sufficient if you have a good plan and follow-through.

TedCornell, thanks for the good debrief. Some great ideas there. I think I will use some in my own prep. I especially like the way you broke down topics in your study plan.
