Need a little help

Hey there, I am a final year engineering student from Dubai, giving my GMAT on the 19th of October.

I just needed a little help on the RC section.

I have given 3 of the MGMAT Tests, and consistently scored 680 in 2 of them and 670 in the other.

My math is fine, I got ,49/49 and 50

But on the verbal front can you just asses my performance below ? specially the CR part, my accuracy is just 28% , Is it that MGMAT tests have really tough RC's ? I know i need to improve on my RC but really dont know how to. Because I feel eventually it depends on the test day asto what passage you get and how comfortable you are with it. Can you suggest something please ? i got a 35/33/33 in the verbal

Also i have noticed that my SC and CR , at points during the test takes me to the 90+ percentile level , then comes a big RC passage and everything goes haywire...i get 4 wrong on the trot and m back to the 60 odd levels and then it becomes very difficult to reach that level again.

The following is my performance on the MGMAT tests....

CR 42 29 13 0 69% 1:54 1:54 640 700

300 - 500 1 1 0 100% 1:06 NA
500 - 600 11 9 2 82% 1:44 1:25
600 - 700 13 11 2 85% 1:39 3:00
700 - 800 17 8 9 47% 2:32 1:45

Readi 36 10 26 0 28% 1:44 2:16 630 680
300 - 500 1 1 0 100% 0:36 NA
500 - 600 8 4 4 50% 1:46 2:06
600 - 700 12 1 11 8% 0:33 1:49
700 - 800 15 4 11 27% 2:15 2:47

SC 45 28 17 0 62% 1:07 1:37 660 690

300 - 500 1 1 0 100% 1:07 NA
500 - 600 5 5 0 100% 1:05 NA
600 - 700 22 11 11 50% 0:52 1:34
700 - 800 17 11 6 65% 1:22 1:43

As i have just 9 days to go for the test, can anyone tell me how to go about the RC section in particular and if there is anything else i need to work on ?

Thanks

Regards

Aaditya

hi -- received a PM

this is a really, really general question; you're basically asking for advice about the entire RC section in one post. that's ... ambitious.

if you need somewhere to start, try checking out my study hall recordings:
https://www.manhattangmat.com/thursdays-with-ron.cfm

in particular, check out the recordings that deal with reading comprehension (the AUGUST 19 and SEPTEMBER 9 recordings). that's a good 3 hours of material to start with.

good luck!
