First, thanks to everyone posting here and the site creators. You have made life a whole lot easy on how to attack the GMAT.
I had taken a KAPLAN class 8 years ago and gave up after a few classes as did not get a clue as to what they were teaching.
So after reading the forum for two weeks, I have started to feel comfortable with the idea that it is possible to aim 700.
I was lucky to find on craigslist, a package of the three OG guides, Cracking the GMAT 08. PR, Kaplan Priemer and 800, 08. all MGMT 8 books and 05 flash cards, for $200.
Started with the the Cracking the GMAT last night. It is of to a good start.
One imp thing I am doing diff is this time, is from day one trying to look at each problem in how to do it in two minutes. Trying to use elimination tech and shortcuts which PR suggests, and trying to work backwards. If I have to do a lot of calc by hand to get the answer, I stop doing it that way even if it gives me the right answer, as for GMAT that is the wrong approach. I have to think and understand how to solve the solution in the best possible manner.
My plan is to spend a month on this and depending on how things go, may sign up for the MGMT test. All their teachers have 760 on their test, and you can look up teacher bio. Kaplan rarely has a teacher taken the actual test.
I will post here as things progress.
