Today has been a very productive day so I thought I would share with you. I am trying to maximize my studying as well as maintaining a hectic banking job. So I have developed flashcards for all the more tricky questions in OG 11. Basically small cards which I can efficiently review on the tube ride in. I get an hour of study completed on the tube journey alone! Each card has the question, the solution, the approach, trap, why I got it wrong, methods / formulas. I really analyze the problem and not just memorize the solution. As questions will clearly be different on the real thing! In the day I spend my lunch time doing a mini GMAT. 8 PS, 8 DS, 5 SC, 5 CR, 5 RC. All questions from OG 11 in timed conditions (62 mins)! I did well. I think it is VERY important to do mini GMATs everyday, so by the time you get to exam day its just another day in the office
). Builds stamina!
In the evening I am doing a thorough analysis and review of all the ones I got wrong. Why I got them wrong. Reviewing my approach. And re-building flashcards so I can analyze on the tube again!
So the ones I am still not 100% clear on and would like your views:
Not sure if I am meant to type the entire question, BUT I am sure most of you will have the official guide (OG 11)! All the questions I am doing are under timed conditions. I feel it key to the learning. I am aiming at “mastery”. Solving any OG11 question in less than 2 mins and knowing the right formula / rule to apply.

I know the formula for speed and distance etc => RT = W
Why is 3/5 = R?
Why is 8 = W?
Why isn’t 8 = T? Which is the time?
I got this wrong because I messed up putting in the incorrect data into the formula

Not sure why you do 1-1/8 here. I understand how you get 1/8 (which is the probability of getting a Head 3 times), but why is it subtracted from 1?

Need to improve my algebraic translations techniques. Does anyone have any good strategies / approaches?
I didn’t get
X-Y = 8W & X=Y=10W in 2 minutes
Anyone have any strategies on how I can improve my technique for this?

Didn’t see that you had to do 58-50 (to get the speed) and 20+8 (to get the distance)
Which you input in the RT = D formula -> 28/8 = T; T=3.5
Anyone have any strategies on how I can improve my technique for this?
I am really finding the detailed analysis of the ones I get wrong extremely powerful. Building flashcards with my analysis and approach and reviewing lessons learnt on the tube / train extremely valuable! I am doing doing GMAT morning, lunch and night!
