Hello Stacy,

I am a pre-experience, 4th year undergraduate student and I'm planning to apply for Masters in Management in London Business School, HEC, ESCP-EAP and LSE.

I recently took Gmat and scored 670. I am female, Turkish, politics student. I speak 3 languages fluently (Turkish, English and French), I spent 1 year in a prestigious university in Paris. I did a lot of extra curricular activities and I recently finished a 4 month internship at PwC.

The major problem is, my GPA is 3.2... I probably don't have any chance to get into LSE since they clearly state that they expect at least 3.4 from Turkish students. Do you think I have a chance at other unis? And if I am shortlisted, what would be your advices on interviews?

Dear Ozlem,

I think you might be competitive at several schools with your current profile, but you would increase your chances if you scored in the 700s on your GMAT. Decisions are made on more than GMAT and GPA though, so your work experience, career goals, and other experiences play a significant role in the outcome of your application. Thus your essays, recommendations and interviews are critical to receiving an offer of admission. As for interviews, these are similar to job interviews. You will be expected to speak about your past experiences, why you want to go to business school and how these relate to your future career goals.
