Thank you for taking your time helping applicants in this forum. I am excited to see your dedication across all the threads requesting some guidance for graduate school in business.
I am planning to apply to London School of Economics's Msc Management and Strategy for the next year batch. Here is my current profile:
Undergraduate: Senior in College. Econ and Math from a 2nd tier Mid-West LAC GPA: 3.78/4
Test Scores: 550/800/5.0 for GRE and 710 (35V 50Q 5.5 AWA) for GMAT.
Commercial Work Experience: None
Research Exp.: 2 summer research grants: one in Math, one in Econ. Senior Honor Thesis.
Age: Just turn 21 last month.
Extra-Curricular: Pre-Law, Martial-Arts
My career objective is to work in the consulting industry and/or to get a PE related job after graduating from the Msc program.
My question is that would it sound naive for me to have such an objective? I only have some layman knowledge about the industry since I did not have any hand-on professional experience yet (I initially want to pursue graduate study in Econ but change my mind in my last year).
My second choice for LSE is a program that requires GMAT only. Do you think which score would look better in my profile?
Would no work experience really a big deal when applying to such a program?
I am looking into London Business School's MIM and Duke's MMS program as well but since the two programs are relatively new, would it be possible that you share some insights to such program with me?
