Hello,

I got admitted into 2 similar programmes and I don't know which one to pick. The offers I received are from :
- ESSEC (France) : Advanced Master in Strategy & Management of International Business (MS SMIB, 1-year programme)
- LSE (UK) : Master in Management (the 2-year programme)

I am finishing my Master Degree in Engineering in one of France very best "Grandes Ecole", and my career goals are
1) Work and live outside France, in english-speaking countries for a start such as the US, UK, Singapore or Australia, and
2) Start working in Strategy Consulting (by the time I enter one of these programmes I would have finished my 6-month internship in Strategy Consulting in a French office)

So my question is : Which one should I choose to reach these career goals?

Dear lbtbouley,

You are the only one who can make this decision. My advice to you is to determine which program will allow you to actualize your goals, particularly goal 1 of working outside of France. It is possible either program has the curriculum, industry connections, and resources to help you realize your goal of strategy consulting in an English-speaking country; however, is it more plausible from one versus the other? For instance, will being in the UK at LSE be a geographical advantage? or is the geographical difference negligible? Or, is there a difference in the two programs in terms of being able to secure a position in strategy consulting? is one better for your career path than the other? Think about what is most important for you and your career from this master's program and prioritize that list. Then compare the two programs to your list to see if one emerges as a better match.
