Is modulus of X=Modulus of Y??
(1) x - y = 6
(2) x + y = 0

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.
D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.
E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

Statement B is sufficient

Answer B

basically modulus is distance from origin. Therefore a number and its negative counterpart will always have some absolute value

I guess the answers given in the source are wrong..

I too went with B but surprised when the answer was marked as A.

Its best to stick to official material and material from best GMAT tutoring companies instead of killing time on material with wrong questions or unreliable answers.
