modifiers: experts plz help

Please explain me the usage of following modifiers

1. Based on
2. Because of
3. Due to

I often get confused about using the correct modifier out of these three. Also, plz mention any other similar modifiers that has similar meanings.

GMAC often refers " which" as restrictive clause. Can someone explain me what is restrictive clause

A. Based on........, scholars--------------it seems that scholars are based on something
B. It has no antecedent.
C. Unclear meaning and ambiguous construction.
D. They wrongly refers to ancient writers.
Sometimes there is very fine line between right and wrong: perspective.
