A pool inspector pours 2 liters of 16% chlorine solution into 8 liters of 20% chlorine solution. How many liters of the resulting solution must she add to 1 liter of a 30% chlorine solution to create a solution that is 24% chlorine?

I'm getting 1.25 too...

2 x 0.16 = 0.32 liters of chlorine
8 x 0.2 = 1.6 liters of chlorine

Resulting solution 1:
1.92 liters of chlorine solution in 10 liters solution
==> 19.2 %

0.192(X) + 0.3(1) = 0.24 (X +1)
0.048 X = 0.06
X = 1.25

Cheers,
Sam
