THe MIT LGo program is for early-career manufacturing managers who want to turbocharge thier trajectory with engineering and business. The program was created in 1988 in response to the need for U.S. companies to become more competitive. Students receive two degrees in two years: either an MBA or a Master of Science in Management degree from MIT Sloan School of Management, and a Master of Science degree from one of eight participating departments in the School of Engineering.

The Sloan MBA is the traditional two year MBA only program.

I have one more query. The website says that I need to apply through MIT Sloan School of Management program. Does that mean that I need to be first accepted by MIT Sloan and only after that I can be considered for MIT LGO program?

Dave, You can apply to LGO through either Sloan or School of Engineering. Both Engineering & Sloan School need to accept your application for you to be selected in LGO

I am an Indian M/31/6.5 yrs wrk-exp/ aerospace design/ GMAT 700 (M50, V34, AWA6.0). I am planning to apply for LGO or SDM, depending on suitability and my interests. Can you elaborate on the outcome of each of these 2 programs?

Also, can you add on the aspect of practicality of getting full benefit as an international student to these programs (since I've read that LGO partner companies need students who have work permit to work in US and I do not have!)?
