Mistake in Official Guide 11th Edition?

Hi all,

In the Official GMAT Guide 11th Edition (Orange/Yellow cover), there is a problem solving question with an answer and explanation I can't help but believe is a mistake.

Page 194. Question #20.
The answer explanation claims that the absolute value of -2 is greater than that of +2.

Can anyone confirm? Or am I missing something?

I think you're right: |2| = |-2| and this is a classical property of the absolute value.

I've read before (especially in customer reviews on amazon.com) that the OG sometimes contains mistakes.

That was a misprint in earlier printings of OG11, and you must have one of those early printings. If you google 'official corrections gmac', you should find a pdf file with corrections to the above question and a few others.
