Option A does not use the correct idiom " Just as X, So Y". It think option A is incorrect.

The beginning of the sentence states that Dr. Hegstead argues....
that means that we should see a contrast in the second part of the sentence.

And only option D uses the contrasting word "while".

IMO D. What is the OA?

option A : unidiomatic
option B, C, D: use "similar". But Dr. is arguing about something, so we need a contrasting word.
