Recent findings lend strong support to the theory that a black hole lies at the center of the Milky Way and of many of the 100 billion other galaxies estimated to exist in the universe.

I am confused b/w A and E. However, in A, parallelism seems to be a problem.

But in E, Recent findings lend strong support to the theory of a black hole that lies at the center of the Milky. I am not convinced with the meaning.

"Native of" is used for a individual while "Native to" is used for a large group

Theory of is used when referring to a particular theory, like Theory of motion.
Theory that should be used when describing a theory.

DE out

With the use of "of" at the end, Option A gives the exact meaning that black holes are at the centre of milky way and also at the centre of billion other galaxies

BC change the meaning

Also, In C, "there" is incorrect. No antecedent.

But the source ( 31 GMAT sets ) is not reliable.

Pravin can you share your source for rules of "theory of " and theory that " ??

"many galaxies.....estimated" is a description of a theory and not reference.

Correct me if I am wrong..

if you are using a specific term for a theory use theory of
Example: theory of relativity..
Einstien discovered the theory of relativity

but if you are explaning a theory use theory that
Example: theory that the balck hole....
Rocket was invented based on Newton's theory that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

You are right.. "many galaxies.....estimated" is explaining the theory.

Unfortunately, I dont rememeber the source. I wrote it in my take-aways.
