Hello all. I posted here a long time ago but some of my situations have changed and would like some fresh advice.
I am an enlisted Airman looking for some info on MBA and which path/chances to take. I am an Airborne Linguist in the AF learning Mandarin and I already know a couple of other languages. My question is what can I do to better myself to get the best shot at a great MBA program in a few years when my contract is up (if I consider going full-time vs part-time?)
My bachelor is International Business from Suffolk University in Boston.
The job is quite interesting and I am told the stress and leadership potential is huge once I actually start performing the duties as well as potential opportunities later on as well for a military linguist.
My question is how can I leverage that experience as well as use my free time to add whatever needs to be added to be a great candidate? At the moment I have only taken a practice GMAT as recently as two months ago and my score is 600ish with a slightly stronger score in verbal than math and a 5.5 AWA. I was wondering if it would be wise to try to get at least a few levels of CFA done while I serve to boost my resume. My only downfall that I can think of is that I may be getting older, I am 28 and would be 33 by the time I finish. Should I go for part-time evening? (I have to even see if that is feasible with my schedule.)
