C

i was trying to choose between B and C. redundancy and meaning are at stake here. B changes the meaning, to say that Hawking defies odds on average, which is obvious incorrect. typically and average used together seem redundant to me.

I believe "On Average" will be redundant,
I will go with "C" as well

BUT in C, where the avg thing goes? why it is redutant ? as ' on avg' means some ppl die in 1yr , some in 7 yrs...so avg is 4 yrs. How it is same as C,which means all the ppl die in 3 to 5 yrs.
WHY AVG IS REDUTANT Pls if any1 can explain

within 3 to 5 years - correct

on an average of 3 to 5 years - correct

As you can see, within 3-5 yrs and on an average of 3-5yrs convey the same meaning.

So, we don't need both of them in one sentence. Only one of them should do.

within 3 to 5 years on average - redundant
