Hi,

D day is less than three weeks from now and I hope to get over 730. I have spent 2 months studying for the GMAT and have completed the MGMAT test, Powerprep and GMAtprep. Here are my scores:

17 April 2010 MGMAT 3 : 670 (v35 Q46)

19 April 2010 GMATPrep 1 : 710 (v39 Q48).

24 April 2010 MGMAT 4 : 690 (v38 Q45)
25 April 2010 MGMAT 5 : 680 (v35 Q47)

30 April 2010 - Powerprep : 720 (V38 Q49)

1 May 2010 MGMAT 6 : 680 (v36 Q47)

2 May 2010 GMATPrep 1(repeat) : 760(v42 Q50)


As you may notice, my scores have been consistent been in the 680-700 range, however I'm not able to improve my verbal score. My target is 730+ on the GMAT and i'm wondering whether, with my current scores and two weeks to go for the real deal, I will be able to get to my target score.

Please comment on my performace. Also, any tips to fine tune my verbal skills will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

My actual GMAT score was about the average of my Manhattan GMAT tests scores. Odds are you will score in between your highest and lowest score. Going forward, really attempt to highlight the specific verbal question types you are having difficulty with. Make the decision that you are not going to go into the test without becoming very comfortable with those question types. On your next practice exam, really attempt to make sure that you don't miss any of the question types that you highlighted.

That's depressing :( Avg of MGMAT is in the range of 680 - 690. I've heard that the actual GMAT is easier than the MGMAT. My GMATprep scores have been in the 700s range, isn't the GAMTprep a better indicator of my final score?

I would be really disappointed if I cannot cross the 700 mark. Thanks for your suggestion. Hope it helps me improve my scores
