How many attendees are at a convention if 150 of the attendees are neither female nor students, one-sixth of the attendees are female students, two-thirds of the attendees are female, and one-third of the attendees are students?

Draw venn diagram, you will easily understand it.
Equation will be

T = 2T/3 + T/3 - T/6 + 150
solve ot you will get T = 900

Same approach

Total = Group1+Group2-both+neither

Let x be the toal number of attendees

x = x/3+2x/3-x/6+150
x-x/3-2x/3+x/6 = 150

x = 900

Let the total number of attendees = x

number of female attendees = 2x/3
number of male attendees = 1x/3 (which include male students + male non-students)............equation 1

number of students = 1x/3
number of female students = 1x/6
number of male students = 1x/6.............equation 2

number of male attendees not students = 150....equation 3

using equations 1, 2 and 3 we get:

1x/6 + 150 = 1x/3
150 = 1x/6
or x = 900

ahh my bad imo E - did a simple calculation error earlier.
