MGMAT number properties PEMDAS

In the number properties MGMAT book there is a PEMDAS concept that has been explained. I have been using the BODMAS rule and have found that the answers some times differ when you apply the two methodologies to the same problem. I would like to know if some one else has also observed the same.

honestly, I see no reason to separate elementary things here. I do this in order taught at my high school; been applying this all the time after... I can not explain why I do this first and that second- it's all mechanic and heart learned.
