Mentioning Campus Visits

How important is it to actually mention a campus visit?

Don't they already know I visited if I registered for a tour or if I visited the admissions office?

Or is the only way they can find out that I visited is if I actually mention it in an essay?

Hi,

It's always a good idea to find a way to mention the campus visit in your essays if possible. While schools do have a registration system for visits I can tell you from personal experience that these aren't always crossed referenced with the applications. So bottom line, in order to get "credit" for visiting you should be sure to mention it.
