the 33rd score should be the median... it lies in the range 80 to 89, answer is C.

k...

bascially the median is the middle number.. now the middle number of 73 is 36.5, i.e. the

36 to the left<-------------37th number-------------->36 to the right

now just cumulatively put in the range...

range of 2 nos... no it does not conatin the 37th number
range of 2+10=12 nos... no it does not contain the 37th number
range of 2+10+16=28 nos...no it does not contain the 37th number
range of 2+10+16+27=55 nos... YES it contains the 37th number...

thus the range of 27 numbers between (80-89) has our medain.
