The median value of a set of 9 positive integers is 6. If the only mode in the distrubution is 25 what is the least possible mean of the distribution.

The series is 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,25,25
So the mean is 81/9=9

Based on the data the set could be
a. 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,25
b. 1,3,4,5,6,11,15,18,25
c. 1,2,4,5,6,25,25,25,25
.
.
.
.
.

Are you sure the question complete ? What is the source ?

For the least possible mean of the distribution, only option (a) of yours would do, but you will have to correct it first; like 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 25, 25. Hence the least possible mean of the distribution is [spoiler]9[/spoiler]. All correct thephoenix.
