MBA programs for consulting

I'm planning to apply for MBA 2013 in the top 20-30 in the US. I have a work experience of 4.5 years in IT and a GMAT score of 720.
I want to switch to the field of management consulting or strategic consulting, and I need to decide which programs I want to apply to.
Any suggestions regarding suitable MBA programs for consulting and IT?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi,

Thanks for your post. Given your interest in consulting you should look at schools like Emory, Indiana, USC and Georgetown. I suggest looking at the career services hiring statistics for each program to see exactly how many graduates go into consulting and which companies tend to do the most hiring.

Consulting is one of those areas that almost any solid bschool can prepare one for. I suggest thinking about other criteria like location and class size to help you put together your list.

Best,

Stacey
