MBA Profile for Evaluation

by simimba1 » Mon Oct 27, 2008 7:40 pm
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I put everything in note format to make it easier to read.

Gender: Female
Nationality: Asian-American (Indian)
Age: 27

Undergraduate School: University of Maryland
Undergraduate Degree: B.S. in Management Science and Statistics - double majored in Information Systems & Quality Management
Undergraduate Honor: Completed honors fellows program in quality management
Undergraduate GPA: 3.45

Designations: I have received a Greenbelt certification in Six-Sigma

GMAT: 600

Work Experience: Senior Consulting with 5+ years of experience from 2 major consulting firms - Deloitte Consulting and Accenture

Recommendations will be provided by senior level managers from Deloitte

My target schools for full time MBA: Georgetown, Univ. of Maryland, Boston Univ., Boston College, Babson

Actively involved in 3 extra-curricular activities

With my credentials, would I have a reasonable shot at getting into these programs? Is there anything else I should work on to make my application more interesting?

Thanks for your input :)

Everything is competitive for these programs except the GMAT. That is low enough that it is really hurting the liklihood of acceptance at all. Yes, you have a chance at Boston College and Babson, but it would be much better if you applied with a higher GMAT. I strongly urge you to retake.

Best,
Linda
