There is an on campus Open House coming up for a school I am reapplying to. I applied late (Aug), got an interview but was unfortunately not accepted. Is it still worthwhile to attend as far as helping me get in?
Hi,
It could help to attend this event. First, if you haven't attended an Open House at this school before, you may collect some useful perspective or insights, that you can incorporate into your re-application essay.
Secondly, you may be able to speak to the admissions/marketing rep about your profile to get more insight into the re-application process. As someone who used to work at a b-school in admissions and marketing, I would often talk with such candidates and give them informal feedback at these events.
Finally, you may be able to speak to some current students (or alums) to get their imput on how to strengthen your candidacy. While your attendance likely won't directly impact your admission chances, it does show continued interest and commitment to the school and you could pick up some helpful pointers.

Yes, for sure! You'd be remised not too. Why wouldn't you want to go to an Open House of a school that you could potentially attend? That being said, don't go just to go and be able to check your name off of a list. I've got a whole check-list of things that one should do...
