Corporate Strategy is a specialization that touches on executive level area of Change and Risk Management, Business process remodelling, etc. Basically people in this field take up positions in the executive management of a company, or do Management Consulting. So first you need to determine is that the area you would like to go..

Regarding the jobs in the area - let me just say that a career is in corporate strategy would be excellent but the number of jobs might not be as plentiful as for an entry level position after all there are only a handful of people in the executive management of a company.. But prospects in Management consulting seem to be very strong expecially with your background with 12 years of experience. (btw, i hope you are pursuing an EMBA program rather than an MBA program..)

Salary - if you get a job complementing your profile and education then you'd probably be in the highest paid cadre of people in the corporate world!!!
