I have a question regarding MBA in consulting. I am an IT guy and want to move to consulting side, but I am a bit unclear about how to justify my current profile to the MBA, I am looking for.....so i want to know what a typical MBA guy from consulting side is expected to do and how can I, a technical IT guy, can justify my profile ?

Hello,

Without knowing you I can’t say how you could make the case in your situation. It would depend on the specifics. However, it seems that you still have to understand yourself what an MBA-educated consultant does. You can research this point in various ways, from reading consulting firm web sites to seeking informational interviews. Then you’d have to “build a bridge” from your current role to the consulting role, explaining why it appeals to you, what relevant skills you have, and why you would be successful in it.
