Hi,
I am an IT professional from India with 5 yrs of work experience (The first one in a Medical Transcription company and the current one in Oracle) in providing Software solutions to global clients.

I am keen on applying for B-schools and wish to know the weightage that my profile carries. Kindly suggest.

Academic:
High School: 88% (Score of topper - around 96%)
Graduation: 68% (Score of topper - around 80%)
Extra-curr: Part of event organizing team in school, 2-year National Cadet Corps part-time training in school, active participation in the cultural events.
GMAT Practice Score: 610 (I know this is low and I am sure I can improve at least upto around 680)
Work exp: Part of many successful and challenging projects; worked in NYC with Citigroup, the client for 7 months.

Kindly share your thoughts on my chances and, if possible, suggest any colleges.

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,
Raghu.

Dear Raghu,

It is hard to really comment on your chances with the limited information you posted. Additionally, your profile is incomplete without a GMAT score and no indication of your goals post-MBA. There is a MBA program out there for almost anyone these days, but there are large variances in quality. I encourage you to visit our sticky on school selection for tips on identifying schools that are a good match for you and take some time to flesh out your rationale for why you want to go to business school.

Good luck,
Lisa
