Amount Maurice earns for working for \(8\) hours \(= \$6 \times 8 = \$48\)
Amount Maurice earns for every hour worked more \(= 1.5 \times \$6 = \$9\)

Maurice worked \(10\) hours on a given day \(= \$48 + 2 \times \$9 = \$48 + \$18 = \$66\)
Hours Maurice worked \(= 10\)

Average pay per hour \(= \dfrac{\$ \text{ earned}}{\text{hours worked}} = \dfrac{66}{10} = \$6.6\)

Therefore, the correct answer should be A
