If s, t are integers, and s/t=64.12, the remainder of s/t may be which of the followings?

The answer is E, but how to solve this task?

Since s/t = 64.12
let s = 6412 and t = 100
Here the remainder will be 12

divide s & t by 2
so, s = 3206 and t = 50,
Here the remainder will be 6

again divide s & t by 2
so, s = 1603 and t = 25,
Here the remainder will be 3

as you can see, the remainders are multiple of 3, and the only option that satisfies this criteria is 45.
