Hi community,

I'd like to pursue a career in the IB, hedge fund sector!
As I'm living in Belgium, there is not much opportunity to find something competitive!
So to get a foot in these branches, what should i do?
The best thing imo is to get a master in finance at an established business school. (EU: hec paris, said, lse, ie, imperial, warwick or USA: MIT, Princeton, vandy, st-louis). But do i even have a chance?
In September I'm starting my master in business engineering, so i have one year till applications start so much opportunities to spice up my profile!

BIG THX and if there is the chance this wont be the last thing you heard a bout me

The good news is, you can generally do IB coming from just about any background if you have "the right stuff." Unfortunately, I do not see in your profile where you listed any work experience, and you speak mostly of college and post-college education. B-schools are much more impressed with two or three years of rigorous and interesting work experience over an additional MAster's Degree. Hope this helps.
