What is the difference between

1: He HELPS RAKE the leaves.
2: He HELPS TO RAKE the leaves.

v. collect, gather together; cause to slant, cause to slope

he helps to rake the leaves (seems fine) if we consider gather for the word rake.....
he helps rake the leaves (does nt make sense)

Certain verbs (such as help) can be combined with the BARE INFINITVE (to + verb with the to omitted). For more on this issue, check my post here:

OA is D. It is more a singular plural error. Managing ... and watering ... need a plural verb.
